After years of research and development, Elitewheels engineers have made advancements in maximizing a rim’s durability and responsiveness while reducing material, allowing for the next generation of Marvel wheels to be significantly lighter, despite increasing inner and outer rim widths to support wider tires.
The Marvel 50D II was designed to be an all-around wheelset that performs well on the flats, hills, and mountains. The wheelset weighs just 1500 grams for the pair, making it a serious upgrade over alloy wheels for the amateur rider. The U/V-shaped rim profile improves lateral airflow, increasing stability on fast descents and in windy conditions.
In addition to optimizing the rim design, the second generation of Marvel wheels comes with several upgrades, namely ETRTO-compliant reduced hooks to offer better aerodynamics, comfort, and traction, Alpina Ultralight Aero spokes, and lighter rims.
