After years of research and development, Elitewheels engineers have made advancements in maximizing a rim’s durability and responsiveness without adding material, allowing for the next generation of Drive wheels to remain lightweight, despite increasing inner and outer rim widths to support wider tires.

The Drive 50D II was designed to be the perfect all-around racing wheelset, balancing weight and aerodynamics. It weighs just 1300 grams for the pair. The U/V-shaped rim profile improves lateral airflow, increasing stability on fast descents and in windy conditions.

In addition to optimizing the rim design, the second generation of Drive wheels comes with several upgrades, namely ETRTO-compliant reduced hooks to offer better aerodynamics, comfort, and traction, quality S&S ceramic bearings, 4.5mm carbon spokes, and our one-of-a-kind Kinetic hub, which features a conical ratchet design.

Wider Rims

Drive II wheelsets feature wider, 23mm inner and 31mm outer widths, making them aerodynamically optimized for 28c ~ 30c tires. The wider internal width gives wider tires a better shape, improving grip and comfort, while the 31mm external width boots aerodynamics with 28mm or 30mm tires, allowing lower pressures for a more comfortable ride

Kinetic Ratchet Hub

The Drive II road wheelsets feature our brand new Kinetic hub, which uses a 50T star ratchet mechanism instead of the previous pawl-ratchet. The conical shape increases engagement surface area, which increases longevity. A new, stronger spring reduces the likelihood of skipping and slipping, ensuring a consistent r吵ng experience. In add代ion, the hub features a new waterproof seal reducing the likelihood
of ingress. A stronger spring significantly reduces the risk of slipping and skipping the ratchets when pedaling

WARRANTY POLICY

The Elitewheels have a 3-year limited warranty that begins the date that the wheels are delivered. It ends on the same date three years later. The warranty period applies to the original purchase date and does not reset if there is a replacement rim or other part.

The warranty covers wheels, spokes, nipples, and hubs. The limited warranty only covers issues caused by non-external factors during the warranty period. We offer replacement in case of defects in materials or workmanship.

What isn’t covered under the warranty?

Vulnerable parts such as bearings, valves, quick releases, thru axles, and brake pads.
Improper assembly or maintenance.
Installation of parts, accessories, or tires that are not originally intended for, or compatible with, the rims/wheels.
Damage or failures caused by a crash, accidental damage, misuse of the product, heat damage (typically caused by the wheel sitting too close to vehicle exhaust), non-compliance with manufacturer specifications of usage, or any other external factors.
Use of straight gauge spokes.
Exceeding the wheel’s maximum weight limit
Exceeding the tire pressure found on the wheel’s product page
Riding in terrain and conditions not suitable for the type of wheels ridden
Using a wheel not designed for eMTB riding on an eMTB
